The ECOO-G Thermal CTP Plate is an innovative, environmentally friendly processless printing plate designed for modern offset printing. After CTP exposure, the plate can be mounted directly on the press without any chemical processing, greatly simplifying workflow and reducing environmental impact.
This plate features a double-layer structure:
The emulsion layer is coated directly on the aluminum substrate. It is a negative-working photopolymer layer that cross-links under exposure at 800-850 nm wavelength. As a result, the ECOO-G plate is compatible with all mainstream thermal CTP devices that expose standard thermal plates. Users only need to set the exposure mode to negative.
The protection layer is a water-soluble polymer applied above the emulsion. It safeguards the highly sensitive emulsion layer from damage and ensures low energy consumption during imaging. Because of its water solubility, it is critical to keep the plates protected from moisture, steam, or even sweat during handling.
To maintain plate quality, the ECOO-G plate should be stored and transported under controlled conditions: 18-25 °C temperature and 30-50% relative humidity (RH). Exposure to high temperature or humidity may affect plate performance.
